Hi guys. On my 2004 E85 I have a problem with the central locking on the passenger door. Sometimes it opens, sometimes not. There's no difference whether I use the remote locking or manually. Any ideas where to look? TIA
I've read a few post recently about timing chains needing changing when the engine is around 80k miles.
Our 2.2 is getting close(78k).
Does the timing chain need changing around 80k or is it just a precaution.
Engine is currently super smooth and no issues.
Just a quick update.
By some miracle I managed to get the 2nd hand unit to code to my car. Hooray
My Z4 now has an MOT!!!
So thank you for all the advice and info to help me get this done.
I have got a 2nd hand passenger airbag sensor for my car.
I have no clue how to code the item
So. Which software should I use to do this
Also, any tips, how to do Tec that will help.
Thanks R
I'm down in sunny Cornwall.
Both airbag sensors had some like coke poured or spilt over them and both had corroded away.
I've replaced one but can't find the other.
Hi guys. But of help if possible.
My E85 failed it's MOT due to the B pillar airbag sensor being broken ie. the airbag light doesn't go out.
My issue is that my BMW specialist cannot get a new sensor anywhere.
He's tried BMW UK and the factory in Germany with no luck.
I a reluctant to go the 2nd...
Joez4. We had a similar thing with our Z4.
We've had the car for 5 yrs and never noticed any light.
Last Mot an eagle eyed tech saw a bit of tape over the airbag light.
Checks made and both sensors knackered.
So far one replaced and one on order with no date for its supply.
It's really annoying!
Other chap here.
I've found a seemingly suitable sensor on EBay 2nd hand.
My specialist says he can't code a 2nd hand unit to the car.
Are there any bypasses that would allow a 2nd hand unit to be coded.
Thanks
