E85 Front suspension/shock absorbers- How To

Really appreciate the reply - I've purchased some B4's last night and am excited to get these on with the existing sport springs. Great to hear form somebody that can vouch for them, and that's exactly my reason for not wanting anything sportier too.

E85 Front suspension/shock absorbers- How To

Zulu4, Just wondered how you were getting on with the B4's? I've emailed Blistein and they told me they aren't correct for the 3.0i but lots of people do use them, I'm thinking about getting some for mine, but curious how they're behaving? Cheers

    Disa valve x2

Thanks enuff_zed, appreciate the heads up, yes its the 3.0 - I have a feeling it's the diaphragm in the unit that needs changing though, revs jump when I put my foot on the break pedal, suggests a vacuum leak? -odd that it only does it in the first few mins when it's cold, then seems to settle ...

    Its nice to be nice

Thank you, I'm pretty sure i've seen those mentioned a few times in the forum, the previous owner did buy an upgrade kit for it - may have been a plastic one (£30 from ebay) - I really need to take a look, but i think its the diaphragm that's gone, as there seems to be a bit of a vacuum leak...

    Its nice to be nice

I still have it, it's my daily and am enjoying it thanks. I'm sorting a few bits as I go - It's just had new tyres a water pump and the rear arches sorted - but now I think my DISA is playing up... hopefully i'll get it to a reliable stage for a while, if there is such a thing.

Hi Sonny, I can't see when you originally posted this, but do you still have the OEM Disa please?

    E85 3.0L

Cheers Andy, and you are right, I'm sure I'd love the car and the drive just as equally - I think it's part of the whole purist driving experience. I work for a car magazine, so am surrounded by journalists who have driven everything, admittedly i have driven some amazing auto's - but I can see...

    E85 3.0L

No need to be confused, I didn't originally put a budget - but I should be able to get a nice one for amount £5-5500 so that's what I have in mind. I've seen some absolute stunning cars sell on here for less. Cheers

    E85 3.0L

Arghh! what a shame, look stunning - especially on those wheels - but I have been told that I really should get a manual
