2003 2.5i, yellow brake light, DSC, and tire pressure lamps on hot days

Oh s**t. I hope not or I will have to retrieve my wheel sensor from the bin and will not be happy splashing £120 on a new one. :headbang: One of mine started playing up when the weather was hot!

FOR SALE Thinking of selling 2003 3.0 SE Maldives Blue - What is it worth

Depending on service history, overall condition and options I would say a very early M54 3 litre E85 should be worth £3,000-4,000 of anyone's money. If it is exceptional then £5k is not out of the question. The low mileage will definitely help value. BUT......the car market has been on it's...

    World Cup.

They will probably fight among themselves and go on strike, though. They do that! Spain are the bookies favourites before it starts, which makes sense. Then France, then the Argies, then us and Brazil.

    World Cup.

No idea mate. I am not a footy 'officionado' by any means. But we have a strong team (except Rashford who's a knob IMO). Whether they can play as a team to their collective skills when it really matters is another matter. The players seem to think, from what I have heard, that they are going out...

    World Cup.

Someone's got to do it I suppose! Five days until the largest football tournament ever held (the yanks have to do it bigger). 104 games in total. That is nuts. A couple of days there are six games a day. That's over 9 hours of playing time in one day. It looks like England's group games are...

    Parts purchasing

Autodoc, if they have stock. They are not the quickest at delivering as all parts come from Zee Germans but their prices and choice are better than anyone overall IME. For BMW dealer parts; Group1 in Lincoln and I believe Cotswold BMW will give a decent forum discount (Group1 give around 10%)...

FOR SALE Creator C410 code reader

Worth mentioning that the C410 will read pretty much all E series and F series BMWs up to 2019 and BMW Minis to around the same production date. Good price as it includes postage. GLWTS.

Engine rebuild by specialist has turned into disaster. Your opinions welcome.

I suppose it will depend on how honest, caring and professional the garage owner is. Either they will hold their hands up and do their best, or will deny everything and hope you go away. Judging by my experiences in the UK lately, it is more likely to be the latter, unfortunately, but you never...

What Causes a New Spark Plug to Fail

They have a habit of going wrong just to annoy you, don't they? I spent all morning the other week changing some bits in the engine bay after waiting two weeks for them to arrive. Got it all done, gave the car a wipe over and went to take it somewhere pretty to take some photos. 300 yards from...

What Causes a New Spark Plug to Fail

They do but are easily knocked in transit or storage. Of the last six I changed, two needed re-gapping out of the box (Bosch again).

What Causes a New Spark Plug to Fail

It's worth checking the earths across all coils. Coils need a really good earth as they produce high voltages. When I changed the plugs on mine it was fine for a while then started getting all 'lumpy' with misfires everywhere. One of the earthing strap bolts had come loose as I obviously didn't...

Engine rebuild by specialist has turned into disaster. Your opinions welcome.

@Bluebottle I don't understand how you can be so 'calm' about all this TBH. If it were me, I would have burned down the garage owner's house and workshop long ago. Sounds like a typical modern 'we don't give a shite as long as we get paid' attitude to me. It is everywhere.

G29 Roof Dye Refresh - Yes or No?

The problem I found with any dye is that it goes on with a brush, or cloth, so you always go over a lot of it twice but not all. Then, of course, you will get darker and lighter 'patches'. If it could be sprayed from a paint gun, it could potentially work better, but not sure if that is practical.

G29 Roof Dye Refresh - Yes or No?

It will be algae or lichen. Any proprietory soft top cleaner should kill it.

Anyone here run a small business?

I feel for you, I really do. It is exactly YOU (and people like you) who should benefit from 'benefits'. The care sector is a scandal. Pay and conditions are disgraceful, yet if you sit on your arse all your life you can make a much better living. My wife sees the unfairness in her school...
