If the inner diameter is 42-43mm then it's the same as the OE BMW one (p/n 11427512300). But I've seen some filters (with the same BMW cross-reference) with a narrower opening due to a thicker collar at the top & bottom of the hole. 11427512300 BOSCH OIL FILTER AUTODOC 'Normal' 'Narrow'

I really miss taking the Z4 to the 'Ring...the Alfa shitbox and subsequent BMW diesels are 'capable' but not very exciting.

I do bedroom to bathroom to kitchen to home office every day of the week! But can also be persuaded to relay stuff between Kendal, Liverpool, Peak District and Crewe/Stoke if needed...as I like to just go out and drive for no reason anyway.
