Feb 2007, brand new to 73,400 miles

Anyone have the part # for the aero side skirts or the full list of the aero kit offered for the M?

I'm sorry if I started an argument. I was asking if it was okay to have synthetic 5w-30 in our engines. Obviously it is not according to some of ya'll. I'm trying to find some 10w-60 TWS locally but apparently the BMW stealership of Austin are the only people that carries our oil :x

Wow. The dealer (non-BMW) put castrol sythentic 5w-30 in my car when I purchased it. I'm going to change oil asap.

I know our engine takes synthetic 5w-30. Anyone ever tried something different? I was thinking about using synthetic Mobil 1 0w-40. I've been told it has the same/close viscosity to 5w-30 and it warms up a lot quicker on those cold days.

Thats good to know. Will removing the CDV will allow me to shift from 1st to 2nd in low rpm without/less jerking? I feel that I have to give 1st a lot of gas to smooth out my shift to 2nd.

Do I need to bore out the OE CDV? Can't I just remove the CDV and tie the line together?

The metallic noise is correct. When I drive my car hard, i do not notice it. But when I throttle between 3000k-3500k i do hear it.

Ahh. So its normal?

When I'm in 3-6, I hear a whiny noise between 2700-3500. After 3500, the noise is gone. Sounds like its coming from the front. Not sure if its the engine or the exhaust. Anyone else noticed this? My Z4MC has 22k miles.
