Also am I right in thinking the sump for the auto is aluminium but steel for the manual??

They're actually one of the ones I've tried. On eBay also topbmw, ukvehicledismantlers hallgreenspares and partscity. I'm not too au fait on the e and n nos relating to the engine and chassis, but think I might have struck lucky with this one based on engine no - Item listing only states x3...

hiya Thanks ever so much for replying BMW is almost £500 plus fitting and I've tried quite a few breakers and none - loads for autos and loads for the older pre 06, seems a scarcity of mine! Any breakers you could recommend?
