Your statement about vibrating in neutral makes all the other info nonsense (assuming your stationary) You have only one item rotating in this situation and thats the clutch & flywheel assembly.

If you find it don't work, back out both bolts fully disconnect the connectors, remove the motor and give the screw a clean and regrease. In the 10 years I've had my coupe (Since doing this article) I've done it twice. I've done 90k miles in this time.

The M54 oil rings mostly clog up causing some oil burning, worth running some additive to clean these up along with some 5w40, I've had a previous M54 engine with over 300k miles, they go on for ever!
