    Track Day Recommendations & Help

I'd do engine service (oil and filter), check the coolant levels, refresh the brake fluid - something like motul rbf600 or 660 would be great. Pads I'd go for something like ferodo ds2500 or mintex 1144 or 1155 - you don't need anything really fancy on your first few trackdays. I would replace...

    Z4MC vs modified E46 & E92 M3

Hahaha I dunno about that, mines definitely not set up optimally 🤭 I'm not sure I'd be 'representing'

    Z4MC vs modified E46 & E92 M3

Yeah I do slightly struggle with these reviews - either do all of them bog standard or properly modified. Mishmash of both is hardly a worthwhile comparison! The results were inevitable - the e46 with a square setup and big ol front wheels had better turn-in and the e92 with the evolve catalogue...

    10 years of Z4M ownership

Lovely write up and cracking photos (although I'd expect nothing less certainly on the latter!) On the subject of child seats, I found a properly certified one that fits in my carbon buckets and uses the standard 3point seat belt to secure it in place. I appreciate to some if it's not isofix...

Z4 Track build: Hampshire, UK (Hi 👋)

Welcome! There is a small but seemingly growing number of us on here that enjoy the odd trackday :) Sounds like a rotten bit of luck getting punted into a wall on a trackday :( Which track were you at? Throw some photos and a spec of the car up! What are the plans for the build? I used to...

    Track Questions

I'd not be in the least bit picky about rotors, I'd get some good pads and fresh fluid and sendddd itttttt 😎

    Track Questions

yeah as above, get a tyre pressure gauge - I'd have the tyres something around 28psi to start with, do your sighting laps (1-2 laps half pace), come in, check the pressures and adjust to 32psi, then do a faster stint of 3-4 laps, then come in repeat. You'll find they'll stabilise fairly quickly...

    Track Questions

I'd echo above; don't bother with stickier rubber to start with - a good road tyre like the PS4 in my experience has a nice progressive limit, so you should be able to get a feel for the balance etc at more manageable speeds! My advice would just be to keep a close eye on tyre pressures (keep...

Recommendations for Paintshop in Derbyshire Area

I didn't, it's on my list to sort out the paint on mine but I suspect it's going to be a more involved job than previously envisaged - I'll probably head down to them so they can price it up.... Let me know if you end up using them!

    Lightened/Single-Mass Flywheel and Clutch

Update on this for those who care - I bought the Burkhart kit - just collected it from my work Paris office, so hoping to get it fitted in August with a bit of luck. I'll take some pics later It looks like a nice htnof kit! It came really nicely packaged too, I had to remove the packaging to...

    Z4M starting intermittently

Yep I'd say starter motor or solenoid for sure. Easy enough to replace if you're not afraid of spannering

    Lets see your Watches

I need to slim down my collection a little - I've got a Seiko Prospex diver 1968 Reinterperetation that I've barely worn in 4 years since I bought it new. I'll happily start a for sale thread if needs be but thought it'd be worth posting in here, hopefully I'll not upset anyone...! Immaculate...
