Update! Collecting the car tomorrow with a bit of luck - feedback from the garage is the pilot bearing supplied with the kit did not fit, it sat too proud so the gearbox wouldn't bold back on. An oe pilot bearing has been fitted and this works perfectly. I'll ensure this is fed back to...
