The excess is payable until the claim is settled from what I gather. The other guy did not claim responsibility 😞 so will have to wait for that to drag on. Thanks for the advice on dealing with the other insurance company.

Not sure. The wing can be saved I think, will need a respray. As for the door, no idea as I'm not an expert but it has been pushed in at the join with the wing. Photo doesn't show that welll, not sure if it can be pulled back out by an expert.

Thanks mate, appreciate the offer. The wing swap is quite straightforward just the door I've not done before, but every day is a school day. There's two montego doors on ebay so just a case of waiting for the evaluation.

Thanks I did see them but wondered why the difference in cost. Some of the eBay services are half the price. I suppose it's all about paying the money and taking the chance.
