Mine was Q3 of last year what specifically was changed in the rules? - I would imagine it will only apply to cars of a certain age, as there are still plenty of cars driving around that dont have airbags at all. D

Hi, I have the same problem on my car. Red Airbag light is on all the time. still get the alarm to say something is in the passenger seat without the belt on.. help! have tried disconnecting and reconnecting the battery but no dice.. guess i will have to take it to BMW? thanks D

thanks Dreamer - thats what i suspected. Unfortuantly the part that the cable fits into is obscured and would require most of the mechanisum to be removed in order to fix - plus i dont know what kind of mess the cable breaking may have made to what winds it in and out...

Hmmm very interesting - may look at changing the lights behind the speedo then... but if im doing that, it would make sense to run a wire down to the sport button to have the dials change colour when in sport... white = normal red = sport a bit Astra-ish but still quite a nice touch... hmmm...
