    We have a 2005 convertibe. A few months ago the roof started to open with a 'snatch' on releasing. Now it won't open without a helping hand. You can hear it trying to open, but won't release until you give the underside of the header rail a thump with your hand....then it opens! By header...

    I had this problem on an 05 3 litre auto. Fault codes reported a fault with the switch on the side of the gearbox that logs the position of the selector lever. You don't have to have the fault light showing to read fault codes. A new switch and no problems for six months. The switch is fixed...

    By low mileage I was thinking of 70/80k. My highest mileage considered would be about 120k but I agree a well looked after car is what I am after. I presume a well looked after engine should do over 200k. ........still looking........no hurry......we would like to get a car by the spring. David
