Got it…. Unless you’re getting error codes for faulty ABS, I’d bet you got air in the system and need to do a proper bleed using ISTA.

    Z4 E85 3.0si diff replacement/options advice please.

Straight swap. I should clarify the 3.73 must be from a roadster auto, coupes with auto came with a 3.64 iirc.

    @D.Bryce I must’ve missed this but what’s the brake issue you’re experiencing?

FOR SALE BMW Z4 M Brake Cooling Kit

Running on low (e.g., <=5mm thickness) pads will bring way MORE heat into the pistons and transfer to fluid. No ducting will help in that scenario under heavy braking corners. Better off swapping to new pads midday or dialing it back a lot and avoid any serious threshold braking imo.

FOR SALE BMW Z4 M Brake Cooling Kit

Not that I had any doubts but this kit works. Did a recent track day where I was able to test the brakes ability to go deeper/further on the main straight where I typically hit 140mph+. After repeated laps, pedal remained firm. After coming home, I inspected the pads and calipers and confirmed...

Though we have similar upgrades, I love seeing someone else taking a different path to arrive at a common goal. Beautiful car, look forward to your updates.

What did you do to your Z4M today?

Correct I looked up the p/n and found a third party seller on Amazon had it listed for few bucks more so bought the left side separately.

Annual changing of wheel liners. At $20/ea it’s not a huge cost but it would be nice to extend the shelf life to more than 1 year. I am hopeful though with my recent tire change to 245/40, my liners will be spared going forward. Also this time around I double stacked the plastic liners which...

What did you do to your Z4M today?

Also I should add that’s a very common spot. Unfortunately our cars have pretty weak fender tire accommodations unlike most M cars. After trying countless combinations of wheel width/offset, tire width/profile, ride height and alignment settings, I think I FINALLY cracked this nut. Obviously...

What did you do to your Z4M today?

Not sure if these guys ship across the pond. Right side is showing OOS but you can check to see if anyone else carries them: Techpro BM1249113 (Right) Techpro BM1248113 (Left) FYI I’ve installed these half a dozen times and the fitment is fine. There might be one hole that doesn’t line up but...

What did you do to your Z4M today?

Almost a tradition at this point but did my annual swapping of wheel liners lol. BMW Genuine liners retail for $350/ea so I just go with generic non-M ones for $20/ea. Oddly it’s always the backside of the front right liner that takes a beating. Usually pulls out from the side sill and makes...

Adjustable drop links - which ones?

I use Bimmerworld links, have held up fine for years but know many aftermarket ones use spherical bushings which will corrode if exposed to salt.

    3002 tii’s Track Day Journal

After 26 heat cycles my RT660 began cording so I went back to the RE-71RS (not the latest RZ compound ). This time around though I decided to downsize the fronts from 255 to 245. Rubbing wheel liners is semi annoying but I don’t want to have to mold new tire spats after each weekend. As...
