Afternoon all. Wondering if anyone has had this issue. Recently the stereo in my 2012 (Professional DSP system) cuts out. This happens on radio and Bluetooth. I lose sound from all speakers. It almost seems like a bad capacitor in the amplifier. If anyone has had this happen before, can you point to what the source of the issue is? Does anyone know of an audio repair shop that works on these amplifiers in the US? I'm not sure how easy it is to check the system output from the amp with a multi-meter since everything connects with a harness, short of using a pronged probe that penetrates the insulation (not desirable). The other COA would be to swap out the amp with a direct replacement aftermarket. I'd prefer that to a used stock amp because I'd at least get a warranty, but that is an expensive experiment if it isn't the amp.
Modification wise, I've added a CarPlay adapter and an aftermarket amp that powers an 8" Kicker solobaric subwoofer in the trunk passthrough. I doubt it is the amp and speaker setup because those wouldn't affect the rest of the speakers. At most it would cause the factory subwoofers and my aftermarket speaker to drop out. It could be the CarPlay adapter but, since it is happening on radio too, I think that is unlikely.
