Hi Everyone

Little bit of a newbie so this maybe a dumb question... as I don't drive my z4 everyday is there a way to keep a battery conditioner of some sort on it while its in the car with terminals on and just take off the conditioner when I head out...

Thanks in advance

I have these on my cars - used with a ctek charger for each car.

Just make sure you get the right one (M6 or M8) for your battery. Not sure? Play it safe and get M8. Just make sure it's connected correctly in regards to the IBS

You can also get ctek adaptors for the 12v socket inside the car, too.

You need to connect it to the terminals under the bonnet, positive on the bulkhead at the rear of the engine (red cover over it) and the negative on the peg on the inner wheel arch.

Don't use the 12v socket in an E89.
The connector means you can set it up and keep that in the car under bonnet then just plug in the charger whenever you want. Its easier if you use the CITEK a lot

And put a red rag around the windscreen blades to remind you the car is on a tender. Ask me why.

Yep a very good idea. I have made an extension cable to my under bonnet terminals which goes down under the car and the cTek connects there. I have disconnected the charger several times but forgotten to take the extension lead off. Gone down the road with a cable dragging on the ground.
