Aston Martin?

Anyone bought a V8 Vantage for c30k? If you did, thoughts, positive or negative? Gonna keep the 35is regardless.
There's a chap on Bimmerpost (the F3x UK off topic bit) who has just bought a Vantage. He seems to quite like it.
I have now fallen for a 2011 ish DBS convertible after seeing a couple at a show at the weekend. I might need to save up!

The only thing that puts me off with Astons are the lack of local servicing and the parts prices. Which, I suppose, is why DB9s, DB7s and Vantages are relatively cheap to buy.

My next door neighbour has an early DB9. It's not the best but it sounds awesome with that 6 litre V12.

They do look great, but if I wanted a V8 I'd probably go for a manual E9* M3.

If I was brave enough to buy an Aston Martin I'd want the full-fat V12 experience of a manual DB9.

I would love a V8 Vantage S with the 4.7l engine (although I what I really want is a manual V12 Vantage S from the same era). I've been watching prices, but I've been instructed that we're running a "one in / one out" policy on cars and I'm still enjoying my Lotus.
Regarding the DB9, post about 2014MY they were reengineered and were much better cars. It's a shame they aren't quite as pretty as the Vantage since four (ish) seats would make the man maths necessary for purchase somewhat easier!

As with any aging performance/luxury car just be sure you can afford to maintain and fix. If so then no reason not to pull the pin!
