How much more power can i get out of my e85 30iSE

Im thinking about doing some mods on mine but I've always been told without spending massive amounts a non turbo engine can be difficult to get much more bang for your buck. Thoughts would be appreciated.

If its a 3.0i you can swap in the 3.0si 3 stage intake manifold. Maybe throw on a higher ratio diff for shorter gears and better acceleration. Other than that not worth the cost/hassle imo

3.Oi in the UK is M54, I don’t think you can put an N52 3.0Si intake manifold on an M54 without significant expense and some sort of adapter. You’d then have to have it remapped, I’m guessing that the expense would be significant for relatively minimal gain.

The facelift E85 went from M series to N series engines and his does look to be a facelift.

Not to me it doesn't. Pre-facelift fogs and no side reflectors.

Ha. I was going by the lack of orange strakes in the headlights. The side repeaters are orange too, rather than clear. Never realised the pre-facelift didn't get the reflectors!

Yup, with the round front fogs and round rear lights I think they look much nicer than the facelift, aspects of which started to get straight lines to replace the curves.

I agree, the pre-facelift front bumper looks so much better with the round fog lights and without those horrible reflectors on the bumper.

Anyway back on topic I suspect the only way to get a significant power increase on an M54 is to add a supercharger, like Mac who hosts Zedfest has on his 3.0i.
