Hi all
Looking for a BMW specialist to look after the car near Worthing/Brighton. Not confident enough to sort my roof issue and potentially a new clutch.

Thanks

What's the roof issue? I'm in Norfolk but my dad lives in Littlehampton, so I could visit him overnight and help you out perhaps?

Funnily enough my parents live in Littlehampton!
Roof goes down. Motor continues to run and windows don’t go back up? Give it 15 secs or so and you can put up on the switches.
Motor is still in usual place.

Ah ok. That tells me the system doesn't know the roof is fully down.
So look behind the left hinge when the roof is down. You'll see a small black cube. That is the 'up' hall sensor. Hidden below it is another one, the 'down' sensor. This should tell the control module that the roof is fully down, so it then turns off the motor and puts the windows up.
You can just see a metal tag outboard of the hinge that passes over the hall sensor when the roof is down.
If the hall sensor can be seen poking out forwards from under the other one, get a screwdriver and try to push it back into line.
Hopefully this will be all it needs unless it's been broken off or otherwise damaged.

Thank you will try that. Will let you know. Thanks again
