FOR SALE Valencia Orange Z4 E89, 18i 2015 for sale - Reduced to £6000

For Sale
The WBAC valuation was £6405 before an inspection, so not that far from what I expected. Similar terms to Motorway about the length of ownership, except they would accept a shorter period, as long as proof of purchase and I.D. of the seller is provided.

To be honest, if I could get £6K from any of the members on here, I would take it.
Blinkin heck Dave you should be fighting them off with a shi@@y stick at £6k.

In fact if what @Pondy says is true I should be the first inline.

Joking asside though I think you are doing yourself a disservice offering it up at that price especially now we are in peak season but GLWTS.

Hard to think clearly with your balls in a vice!

I know mate, the £6K offer only applies to forum members. All the usual suspects like WBAC, Motorway etc give higher valuations than that, but none of them will touch it if ownership is too short (which is probably understandable). I suspect that misted headlight is probably the only reason the car wasn't snapped up 5 mins after I posted it on here 😂

I smell bullshit….lots of it….Dave’s come home with a Zed without telling the gaffer and she’s gone “You can f**k that tango can right back to where you got it from David P….or…well….lets just say you don’t want to find out” 🫵😜
Before anybody starts, I'm not saying this is the case here 😁... back in one of my former lives selling new cars, we had a term BMWW (Brave Man Without Wife), yes you may laugh, we had to qualify if lone males had permission to be on their own and able to buy a car! I had a man come into the show room and he was a bit offish with my then sales manager (a wonderful lady), so it was left to me to deal with him. We developed a good relationship, he wanted a new fiesta in metallic Nordic green (then considered an unlucky colour in the trade), his private plate on it (which had the number 13 included) and when we looked at delivery it fell on Friday the 13th, he wasn't superstitious (he said). Asked him did he want to bring his wife down for a test drive... no, I wear the trousers in my house was the reply. So, Friday 13th came he picked up his new green fiesta with his 13 personalised plate and drove off into the sunset. 2 hours later he was back, a different man, a shadow of his former self, his wife had threatened him with divorce if he didn't sell the car immediately! We ended up buying the car (a big loss for him financially) and putting him into another car his wife liked..... BMWW

I think they'd call that domestic abuse (controlling and coercive behaviour) these days.

Admittedly, I did let my other half veto me buying a very cheap Bentley Continental Flying Spur as a family car, but she was probably right about that one. I still remind her every time she pulls up the rear window blind by hand that she wouldn't have to do that if she'd let me buy a Bentley...

Well, I went to see a mate of mine who's a BMW Master Technician, and he had a look over the car this evening. His verdict was as follows:

The tyres are all fine, with plenty of tread, and they definitely don't need changing. The issue I described with the car feeling a bit twitchy is almost certainly down to the wide tyres following grooves in the road, and not my crappy driving... He will take it for a spin sometime to check how it feels, but he'd had a beer tonight so obviously he wasn't able to do that this time. The newly refurbished wheels are in mint condition, as you'd expect.

The misted up LH headlight does need replacing, (they are both original BMW items from when the car was new, and the misting up is very common on them). He said it's easy enough to get a Hella unit, which is exactly the same as the OEM one, but approx 1/3rd the price, so around £500-ish + fitting. If I decide to keep the car he will fit one for me when he gets time.

He basically said it's a lovely car in excellent condition (y) 😂

My wife still thinks used cars cost a maximum of £5,000. Cos that's what I have always told her and she CBA to check.
I did have a very close shave last year when I left the £10k invoice lying around from the bodyshop for painting my Fauxrrari. I just told her it was a typo; should be a grand and I will ask them to re-issue it. I was very careful after that.

What they don't know can't hurt them (or us).

Just make sure you never cross someone on this forum that knows your wife, you are on very shaky ground 😂

I've hidden the invoice for the tuning of my Audi in the shed. She'll never find it in there, too many spiders.

When I met the other half I had a Jag XJ8 (with electric blinds) and so I fancied a change and bought the E89, she was so unhappy about my choice of car, she moved out! Two months later she was back.... despised the E89, stupid car she called it. So time moves on and I decide its time for another car, so, I tell her I'm off to look at an Audi Q5, that was ok... didn't even look at the G29 when it arrived on the drive, another stupid car!

Funny creatures, women, aren't they :ROFLMAO:

Reminds me of a Biketrader ad from about 30 years ago.

GSXR 1000. 600 miles, still not ran in. Genuine reason for sale. Apparently "Do what the f*£& you want" doesn't mean what I thought it did.
I remember things like that. There was a tale of an Ebay ad with a Ferrari(?) for ridiculously cheap money if you collected it that afternoon as the hubby had registered it in wife's name and she'd found out he was having an affair.

To be honest Forgiveness is usually easier better than permission - When I got the 748 I said "it followed me home, can I keep it?" The fact it was on a trailer was not lost on her.

I know Heather. The Z I bought from Pondy was her car and she didn’t want him to sell it. But I wouldn’t dream of passing such confidential but potentially valuable, information on to her. Well not at the moment anyway.😉😉😉
