As some of you will already know, I bought this beautiful Valencia Orange Z4 E89 from Gwest44 recently (there is a full write up here):

https://z4-forum.com/threads/testin...-manual-z4-e89-in-about-a-months-time.157094/

After loads of delays, thanks to DVLA taking ages to return my licence, we finally agreed a deal on Tuesday 16th (Yes, that's right, it was LAST Tuesday...) and everything went smoothly. However, unfortunately there has been a change of plan. My wife is giving up driving due to health reasons, and we only need one car between us, which needs to be more practical than the Z4. Come to think of it, almost EVERY car is more practical than the Z4 😂 I bought the car with a view to keeping it long term, but sometimes life doesn't pan out the way you want it to, and this is one of those times.

Condition is excellent, both inside and out. The bodywork looks great, with only a few stone chips here and there, in keeping with a 2015 car. The colour pretty much speaks for itself, the Valencia Orange is well documented on here, and looks absolutely stunning from any angle, especially in bright sunlight. As far as I can tell, the car is completely standard and unmodified.

The interior is also in really nice condition, with minimal wear on the alcantara centre panels and the leather seat bolsters. It has brand new and genuine BMW floor mats fitted. There are very few signs of minor wear on the plastic parts, apart from a small scuff on the centre cubby box lid.

The car is really nice to drive, very comfortable, and not too noisy or loud with the top up or down - I left the top up for the mainly motorway drive from Sheffield back to Peterborough, but since then I've driven it with the top down and can confirm the roof mechanism works perfectly.

The car is nicely put together, everything feels solid, and the interior is beautifully finished. Gearchange is precise, the clutch is nice and light, and the brakes are perfectly weighted. The only negative I can think of is the steering seems quite difficult to keep dead straight, which is possibly due to the fact I haven't driven a car for nearly a year and a half...

There are a couple of small things that will need addressing eventually, but overall the car is in beautiful condition. The LH front light is full of condensation (A common problem on the Z4, as far as I can see), so that will definitely need sorting. On close inspection there are a few stone chips and minor scratches on the paintwork, so that could be looked at sometime, but it's not really urgent TBH. The car presents beautifully as it is.

The tyre sizes are Goodyear 225/45R17 on the front, and Avon 225/45R17 on the rear. I had thought about changing them to Michelin all round, but the tyres are fine, with plenty of tread, so I decided to leave them.

MOT was completed on 17th March (My birthday!) and it had a full service including spark plugs at the same time.

Mileage is 70,000, and there is plenty of paperwork + old MOT printouts to verify that.

The alloys were recently refurbished, and are therefore in unmarked mint condition.

I wasn't sure how many photos are allowed on sales adverts, so I'll just post a couple for now. I can send pics via DM's to show anything specific if that helps.

And here's one of the condensation in the LH headlight:

Any questions, feel free to ask 👍

What a shame - GLWTS.

Hopefully you'll get to enjoy it a bit more before it sells!

Oh no! Sorry to hear you need to sell.
Did you get a cooling off period from gwest? 😉

No cooling off period mate, he's a hard man to deal with, ha ha! 😂 😂 😂

As discussed Dave if I hadn't already bought the 35is I'd have had it back in a shot - GLWTS 👍
That doesn't make me feel any better buddy, but it's really nice of you to say that... er... I think... 😊

Is there really no other way? Me and my wife very rarely need two cars, but we have two anyways, because i want two cars - one practical, economical auto, and one sporty, 2 seater manual.

Given how long its taken to get your license back, and get a z4, seems a real shame to sell it so quickly. At least run it for a few months over summer surely?!?

If we only ever had what we need, we'd all be driving round in toyota aygos. But where's the fun in that?

Yeah but only if you could flog it on again for a profit, eh? ;)

I'm not bothered about that, if anyone can make a few quid from it, that's fine. My best option so far is selling to Motorway for £6925, and if I don't get any offers on here above that in the next few days, that is exactly where it will go. Autotrader have valued the car at just over £8400, but I honestly can't be arsed to deal with a bunch of timewasting private buyers knocking on my door. That's why I've offered it up on here, to a load of timewasting forum members, ha ha! 😂😂😂

Offers invited for a quick sale. I mean... just... look at it! (y)

Well, I just spend most of the morning filling in all the Motorway details, took all the photos they asked for, and right at the end they told me they don't sell cars that have been owned for less than 3 months! Great, I could have done with knowing that at the start 😟

What a PITA but at least you have all the photos - as discussed jump on Autotrader and take out one of their listed until sold adverts.

You can then copy the link to the advert on sites you choose to advertise the car including here. I've done the same before and on at least a couple of occasions ended up realising more for the car than I originally offered it for on the forum 👍

I reckon it would be gone in a few weeks max with very little hassle if you put it on Autotrader for £7,500.

I'm guessing WBAC are giving very low valuations.

I smell bullshit….lots of it….Dave’s come home with a Zed without telling the gaffer and she’s gone “You can f**k that tango can right back to where you got it from David P….or…well….lets just say you don’t want to find out” 🫵😜

Ha ha, you have sussed me out good and proper mate, I think we all know who wears the trousers in our house - And it's not me 😂

The WBAC valuation was £6405 before an inspection, so not that far from what I expected. Similar terms to Motorway about the length of ownership, except they would accept a shorter period, as long as proof of purchase and I.D. of the seller is provided.

To be honest, if I could get £6K from any of the members on here, I would take it.

Reminds me of a Biketrader ad from about 30 years ago.

GSXR 1000. 600 miles, still not ran in. Genuine reason for sale. Apparently "Do what the f*£& you want" doesn't mean what I thought it did.
