I posted this on another thread but thought somebody might like these:
I had the rust problem with the brackets between the mid part of the exhaust and the back boxes.
Problem with my exhaust was that it wasn't spotted on MOT until the flared parts of the stainless steel pipes had fatigued and split so I ended up having a solid stainless sleeve fabricated and welded over the back pipes to the standard back boxes. A much better solution if you're keeping the standard boxes and the pipe flares are in poor condition.
It was either that or a new central section.
During the process of trying to work with a garage attempting to fit original spec and the after market gear I've ended up with 3 kits . Two from i6 and one from X8R.
They're all made for the M3/Z4M and are great quality.
From memory, the M3 has two pipes into one box as opposed to two separate boxes on the Z4M. So they'll work for M3 and Z4M, they are advertised as such - links below.
The i6 kit has no gaskets - presumably because it doesn't need them- I don't know.
The 2 X8R kits come with both of the different gaskets required for this kit.
The i6 kit is out of stock. I'll sell for £30 delivered Royal Mail
The X8R kits I'll sell each for £50 delivered Royal Mail

Hope somebody is interested.
I wish I'd realised what a stupid issue this was on a stainless steel exhaust earlier!
