Looking for a 3.0si E85 in a dark colour (black, dark grey, dark blue) with a black or red interior (I'm also open to cars with lighter seats, just not thr lighter carpets and trims). Heated seats are a must really but sat nav and xenons would be nice but not deal breakers. Lower mileage the better (sub 100k is ideal) but I'm not overly fussed if it's a bit over 100k as long as there is demonstratable evidence of care (i.e. plenty of history of servicing and maintenance). Cars (like us humans) need parts regardless of service history so a stack of paperwork showing plenty of maintenance is a good thing (in my book). On that note, I'm looking for a well cared for, cherished, corrosion free example. I'm based in north east but I'm happy to travel for the right car with the right documents.

My current one has Sat Nav which is hopeless for finding places, but I like having all the readings for outside temperature, time and fuel range on one screen instead of having to scroll through the display on the dash.

And with the Carver DSP stereo I can play with the Graphic Equaliser settings if I'm bored!

True. I actually got the tv on mine working a few weeks ago, but that wasn’t time well spent. The tv is as dated as the satnav.
 
Edit to advert: I've had some messages from folks with cars of 150k+ miles which is above where I want to be with the mileage really so I've made this more prescription in my advert above. I forgot that these cars regularly get to this mileage.

Now the technical stuff
Regular services, with the next service in 12000 miles

Work in my ownership of 8 years...

Thanks for the response Drjones. I did see your advert before posting my thread and your car nearly fits the bill but the full cream interior isn't quite what I was looking for.

I've had a couple of responses. One seemed to match but not sure whether the chap wants to sell anymore and had a couple of others but they weren't quite what I was looking for so I'm still looking. I've changed my preferences to 3.0si only (updated original post to suit) and to dark colours (not limiting it to just black or dark grey).

An don’t forget the CarPlay activation which is great
 
Still looking if anyone has a 3.0si that isn't getting used and needs a new home.

I did have a car lined up through a friend whose description to quote was "You won't find one in better condition than this!". Turns out when I looked underneath (properly with a jack and stands) it was very brown around the derriere so needless to say I didn't take up my friend of a friends "mates rates" offer.

I've decided that I'd like a garaged example as this one clearly wasn't. I've had enough of being underneath rusty old tubs and would like to be able to remove bolts in a reasonable time so I've changed my 1st post to suit👍🏻.

This one seems to fit the bill in most respects, apart from the Service History.

But given that less than 700 manual 3.0Si Roadsters came to the UK it looks a bit of a bargain at that price!

FOR SALE Thread 'BMW Z4 3.0SI 2006'

IMG_0727.jpeg Selling this on behalf of a friend who is not a forum member.

It’s a 2006 3.0SI with 103k miles on the clock. It has the style 108 alloys, brakes in good condition all round. Heated/electric memory m sport seats. Has had a fair bit of work done by myself including; new front shocks, springs, drop links, air filter, wipers, pollen filter, rocker cover gasket, side reflectors from BMW. Will be getting an engine flush, oil and oil filter change shortly. I will also clean out the vanos solenoids and check that they are operating correctly.

It did have some damage to it as shown...
 
I think if it had service history it could command a higher price.

Wrong forum, but if someone bought my 650 which is in the background of one of the pictures then I’ve buy this for myself lol!!!
