I kept existing light fitting, took camera off, made bracket and mounted in the middle above number plate.
At least it's central. Looks odd offset.
But i do see the glow of the tail lights at night.
Keep meaning to experiment with a tube or something on lens.

I need to pop the console and test a few cameras.. I think I'll just put a hole in the space between the lights and mount one. They are looking pretty standard today. This has been something that life forced me to put off for too long.. anxious to get it done.

just added the rear PDC sensors... that 18.2mm bumper punch does an amazing job.

When I fitted the reverse camera on my Peugeot RCZ I bought a replacement light unit with a built in camera which was meant to be compatible with the head unit and the car, it didn't fit. So I ended up buying the camera on its own and fitting it next to one of the number plate lights. All I needed to do was cut a small notch for the cable next to the lamp and the camera was screwed into the bumper skin. Yes, it wasn't central, but it didn't affect the display and wasn't that noticeable. Even the camera on My G29 isn't central.
