Are we waving?

Hey folks!

Havnt really posted much since finding my lovely Z4 - Kids/Family/Work keeping me mostly busy, but with the gorgeous sun coming out over Bristol the last few days, I've been absolutely soaking it in whilst driving around town - usually with one or the other of my boys in the passenger seat, asking "Daddy are we going on the highway????"

Absolute bliss!

One question I had - are we (as a Z4 community) the type of group that waves to each other as we notice other Z4s while out and about? Was driving down Gloucester road today in Bristol, noted a White E89 coming up the other way and I gave the fella a not-over-the-top wave, but I don't think he noticed.

Just curious! I'm still in the goofy-smile-every-time-I-drive-it stage with my Zed, so I guess I could be forgiven for a bit of overexcitement.

I'm not a waver (surprise) - but I always smile when I see a z4, even if I'm not in one.

I wave if I'm in the mood, sometimes I get a wave back other times not. I don't bother with the G29 drivers as they are a snooty lot and I don't wave at women drivers in case they get the wrong idea.

A few years ago I was sitting at traffic lights in the E89 (it was about October time, but I did have the roof down) and there were a group of locals standing by the lights enjoying the delights of some tonic wine and they were waving to me, I think they were sailors or nautical types because I'm sure they were shouting the word anchor at me! I didn't wave back... in preparation for owning a G29!

Always wave myself. I do think E89 owners wave less than E85 owners. No idea on the G29 as I'm pedaling an Mx5 these days.

I always flash the lights and/or wave very excitedly to other Zeds especially E85/6.

I always try to wave or flash lights when I'm in my Z4, but sadly seem to be in my 3 Series most of the times I see them!

Went out to remote Bahamas island, not in Z, in a local rental car (actually customs man's brother in law car).
Everyone waved at you.
We had one passenger on waving duty, got so tiresome.
Not sure if we were on the correct side of the road though....

I'll always try to wave, although I forget I'm not in my Zed and wave from the Fiesta/Focus as well which potentially is a little odd. Figure its not harmful.

I take great pleasure in waving at them arm up over the windscreen (as my roof is nearly always down) if they have roof up though.

I’m also still at the ‘smile every time I drive it stage’ and I’ve only seen one other E85 – but I did tip the brim of my cap (before putting my right foot down!) – I hope we’re ALL ok with a little wave?
