Looking for a Mark4 LeatherZ armrest in either Imola Red or Black for E85/E86

Mk4 is just the version of the armrest, not the car!

LeatherZ are out of business, so they're only available 2nd hand.

This was the Mk4 on my Z4MC; got black as it hides the dirt, and they didn't do champagne version anyway; took it off at some point to do handbrake repair and lost it (or gave it away?)...

Here's the thread about it from about 5 years ago...

Wow that's a considerable extension compared with the horse shoe shaped piece of leather that comes as standard 👍

How do you comfortably change gears in a manual e85 with that there? I always liked the idea but my elbow would hit it.

Never got in the way of my elbow, but others are lankier than me.

I had it as it was more comfortable - at a more similar height to the door armrest height - on my regular 200-400 mile trips when I didn't need to have both hands on the wheel.

I have one in Imola. It's fine, nothing fantastic, somewhere to put your arm but the storage is minimal. The way they are installed I would think would leave a marks so dont want to uninstall mine.

Not something I would be specifically chasing as they are "ok". It works well with the OE tall gear stick but I would think a stubby would be uncomfortable to use.

They finally went out of business in January and were based out of US.

Tomscott, thanks for the pix. Do you know if they open up and have storage? Also, do you know how they are attached to the console?

I have a zhp knob which is a bit shorter than stock.

I had a double cup holder printed like the one in the link below and I ended up not using it as my elbow would touch on shifting into any 2 4 6 changes which I found distracting when pressing on. By the look of the pics of the arm rest I don't think this would work with a shorter shifter. Pity I think it looks great.

Perhaps someone with a zhp or other less tall shift knob could chime in.

Ive got one of these cupholders and a zhp, no issues with my elbow. Really handy for roadtrips.

At 6 ft 3 I must have long arms and legs meaning my seat is quite far back meaning my elbow goes back further on the shifts. Anyway that's my excuse
