Welcome to the forum from a grey dank foggy Cornwall. :) We do indeed have a resident Tulip bulb waiting to bud. I am sure he will be along to welcome you soon.

Arnhem, so close to where I was born (Velp). Great area, you may find a statue of me there as one of their noble citizens 😁

Am there regularly as well.

Welcome aboard

Now having to dry a mouthful of tea from my keyboard!

A bit confused as I thought your statue was in the harbour at Copenhagen. :poke:

Hi and welcome to the forum.

There are a few more forum members in the Netherlands so hopefully they'll be along soon!

Welcome, mate! Canadian here but with a small connection to Arnhem.... I only just learned last year on my first visit to Oosterbeek that my grandfather fought in OP Market Garden - He was part of Sosabowski's Polish Brigade. Small world!

Looking forward to hearing about your Z4 journey - I hope mine starts soon as well!

Welcome, I’ve always been interested in OP market garden, wanted to visit Arnhem and do the tours and museums having watched the films and many documentaries.
Sounds like we should do a road trip to visit. @pvr could lead the way.

Yeah, that is the area I was born and have done all the museum tours when I lived there and took the family over as well to see that. My niece got married there a couple of years back in Oosterbeek.

The graveyards are very impressive, I never knew there were whole Polish divisions there as well as we never really heard about that in school.

The OP should recognise this. Had to stop for an ice cream on the way to the museum

There's historical reasons for that...a quick wikipedia read of General Sosabowski sets the record much straighter than Montgomery wanted (Monty having been proven wrong in the end)
