Headlining Anthracite cloth material

Bit of a strange ask here.
Looking to see if anyone knows where I can get hold of the anthracite coloured cloth material that the headliner uses on the E86 coupe.
I’m looking to see if I can repair the A pillar cloth which is the same material.
Does anyone know of a company that sells something similar?

I am 99% confident it will be the same as the E46 of the era. You'll probably be able to find an E46 headliner pretty easily, and might be able to peel the fabric off if you're careful. Maybe heating up the adhesive will help if you go that route?

If not, I suspect more people will have tried to match this in the E46 world (as it's so much more common), so might be worth expanding your search there?

Also interesting that they state it's foam backed for the headliner and without foam for the pillars (makes sense, and you can feel this), but something to keep in mind I suppose
 
Cheers. Will take a look at those links. Only need a small piece and not the whole headliner. Just enough to cover an A pillar trim.

These are expensive, but if you're really struggling, these popped up on my eBay alerts this morning. Usually I've seen them for a bit less than this though (usually £70 a side on eBay, although I got both for a lot less through the forum)

I have a small, what looks like cigarette burn mark, on one pillar. Looking to retrim it rather than buy a whole new piece.

It has been a very long time since I logged into this forum but I'm desperate to find suitable Anthracite replacement cloth for my 2007 M Coupe headliner. I wonder if you have had any success finding it. Even a failed attempt would be of interest to me if it prevents me from going down the same path.

I noticed another thread from 2023 where you were getting input from other members. I've been searching for over a year and cannot find anything. But, something crossed my mind reading your "post"! This is a photo of one of my pillars and the cloth that detached itself from my headliner. You can see that the brown foam has turned to dust and wouldn't take much to clean it off and apply it to your pilar. Although, I'm a little hesitant to start cutting it up. I know it's unlikely but I'm sure the minute I do someone will tell me I should have kept it!!

Let me know if you're still looking and I'll try to get over my insecurity!

Patrick, i actually ended up sourcing a second hand A pillar for a good price.
I am still on the lookout for some cloth material and the old pillar is worth saving. Unfortunately I have yet to see anything suitable. Anything on FB marketplace or eBay etc tends to be too big for my needs, I only need something small.
Certainly happy to take some material off you and see what the match is, but I’ll leave it yourself to decide if you want to try to remove it.
