I'm new to the forum and was thinking about which colour E85 I wanted and landed on this colour.
I was wondering what you could tell me a bit about the condition of the wooden dash?
I was also wondering more broadly how the five speed compares to the six speed, if other members could comment on that, that would be really helpful!

Need to do some thinking, but this is really temping

Hey. Thanks for the reply. The wooden dash is in good condition. As for five vs six, I find the fifth gear longer than on the sixes.

I personally think the five speed suits the car. It’s silky smooth and with the weighted gearstick is awesome.

For reference I’ve had a coupe before this with the six speed which I found quite notchy despite doing the common clutch delay value removal

Any inspection / drive most welcome.

It’s a lovely colour, much nicer polished up in the sunshine. The pictures don’t do it any justice at all. Seems like a very fair price.

I think the wood trim is plane tree, not sycamore (I don’t recall that being an option).

Five speed is strong and suits the torquey 2.5i well. They rarely give problems, although the revs can seem high at motorway speeds.

I am a big fan of the DSP audio over the standard systems.

This could be a great choice for a first Z4.

Thanks Zedebee. To be honest I didn’t even know the wood was real… sorry about the dull Worcestershire light

That's a lovely colour combo with some great options fitted - GLWTS.

So much car for the money. Great spec.
Well it seems to have increased in price since earlier today!!

I am sure it was £2,900 earlier. Or is my senility getting worse??

Hi. Yes it’s £2900, initially posted up yesterday afternoon for £3000. I changed around an hour later. Shows correct for me.

Lacquered, real wood veneer on an aluminium backing. They are a bit marmite to be honest, forum members either love them or hate them.

Before we were married my wife always liked it when I had wood. Not anymore sadly!

Sorry completely off topic, but couldn't help it. :)
