When I sold new cars we had an old guy come into the showroom looking to buy a new fiesta. His part X was another fiesta and being a keen DIYer he had made a few modifications! He wanted the Rolls look so he had made a wooden dash and glove box with nice big black hinges (dont think Rolls would of been impressed at the level of craftsmanship) and to complement it and get that retro DB5 look he had cut a massive hole in the dash and fitted... a thermostat from an old freezer! Very handy to tell if it was cold outside and you couldn't be bothered looking out the window. Totally de-valued the car, he disagreed.
