Chanceschmerr's Z4 search - what about cars from Northern Ireland?

This one caught my eye - right colour, trim and features, and 1 owner from start is appealing, but it looks like MOT records are limited for Northern Ireland cars. Plus i guess i'd have to go all the way out there and bring it back, assuming it worked.

Any thoughts/risks with cars from Northern Ireland that I might not know about?

FWIW, I was told by a forum member over there that their NCT (MOT) is stricter than the UK.

I bought a Peugeot RCZ as a run-about two years ago and that was from NI, no problems with it at all. Couldn't check the MOT history like here, but the car had fsh. Had a list of small things to fix and some modifications to make.

FWIW, I think if you wait, you'll get a better bang for your buck than this one offers at this asking price. You'll likely get it in the UK too.

I can't offer anything useful, but I'm really curious about it being "serviced and maintained by professional mechanics". Is that just a fun way of saying it has little/no service history?

Looks lovely though.

Budget?!

It's got:

WOOD
Comfortable wheels option
Comfortable suspension option
Dated iDrive delete
Gear change "freedom" option
WOOD
Cream leather
Robotic driving delete

Unfortunately it does look like it is hampered by hot seats and annoying beeps while reversing, but other than that it's top spec.

No cruise, basic sound system, no extended Bluetooth, no idrive, no extended lighting, 17” budget specials, the wood is very nasty plastic, no folding mirrors..it does have heated seats…manual 23i..entry level powertrain..

BMW marketing department would have called it budget…🤔🧐😂

Parking sensors, heated seats, leather and DSB metallic paint. That's not budget, that was £12,500 of options on a 2010 BMW.

"the wood is very nasty plastic". All of the trims were very nasty plastic, just in different flavours.

Leather was £1,035
PDC was £605
Heated seats was £285
DSB was £520
Nasty wood was £340

So that's £2,785... £9,715 short of your prediction..

To be fair you missed the rear wind deflector .. £210....

If the wood isn't real then I'm no longer interested.

I was being facetious. I do that.
