She’s the second owner, we bought it from the 1st owner and it’s been garaged the majority of its life.

Whist is doesn’t have all the toys, It does have:

Heated Black Leather MSport seats,
front and rear parking sensors
Multi function steering wheel
Automatic rain sensing wipers
Zenon headlights with washers
Electric Folding Mirrors
Automatic 2 zone climate control
Puddle lights in the door handles - extended lighting pack
Ski hatch / flap thingy!

probably other bit’s I’ve forgotten.

What it is, is a low mileage, low owner, well maintained vehicle in excellent condition. It’s had the vanos recall and it’s had both roof looms replaced (left and right) so should be trouble free for years again. I am very fussy when buying a car!

It’s never failed an MOT and the only advisories, on a couple of historic occasions, were tires. Registration is WF 10 TXE if you want to check for yourself.

It’s HPI clear, with all original paintwork in excellent condition. The interior trim and switchgear is also immaculate and everything works as it should. It has a comprehensive service history and an excellent MOT history.

Having looked at what’s out there I think £7k is a fair price.

A few pics on this thread, but I’ll obviously do some new ones https://z4-forum.com/threads/made-a-start-on-the-mrs-e89.146305/page-2

Hello,

My partner’s E89 will be available very shortly due the arrival of a G29.

I’m sure you’ll know, but it’s the Uber-reliable N52 2.5 straight six, 204BHP & silky smooth… and it’s a manual.

She’s the second owner, we bought it from the person who ordered it new and it’s been garaged the majority of its life.

What it’s not is a high specification, all singing and dancing example with lots of toys.

I’ll get some fresh photo’s up soon, but here’s one from when we first got it. I’ll also update the thread with proper details shortly, but thought I’d raise awareness if anyone is looking for a good example.

I’m not sure on price, so I’m going to say £7k initially but will revise this once I’ve had a better chance to look at what’s out there for comparables.

I do love an Alpine White E89 and having just bought a Z3 without heated seats I'm missing the creature comforts the E89 affords - suffice to to say I've sent you a PM

Thanks for the head-up @bigwinn

Well we are two weeks into the year, so I suppose it was about time you bought another Z4!

Enjoy the G29!

I'm in the market for either a good conditioned E86 coupe, or a fairly priced E89. Have been stalking the forums for a little while but felt like this was worth making an account for.

Could you share some additional photos it's certainly one I'd consider. Thanks for sharing the reg!

Morning, on the train to collect G29 as I type!

Yes, I’ll add a load of photo’s ASAP, probably tomorrow at some point.

I just wanted to get the E89 up as a ‘heads up’ for anyone looking.

Good luck with the collection of your G29. Your wife's Alpine White E89 looks lovely.

Two things that can be guaranteed are it will be spotless and will be a good one. Martin (@True-Blue) has OCD and knows these cars very well.

Thanks for the positive comments chaps. We chose this one based on condition, one owner from new, superb MOT history etc. I am fussy, and although it’s my Mrs car, I’m the one who drove for two hours to go and view it.

I think the fact that the seller bought a nice bunch of flowers and a card with a lovely message in for the other half, says a lot about the type of people they were. They’d cherished it from brand new and it shone through.

From the person who ordered it new and sold it to us, lovely people who cherished the car from new
Hopefully pickup of the G29 went well! Take your time enjoying the new motor and will wait for some more photos when you get chance. Enjoy!

That’s really nice that the previous owners sent you a card, the car was clearly treasured by them!

Just for info, planning on storing in garage and running on nice weekends. Plan is to take it on our honeymoon road trip to the dolomites/northern Italy in 2027.

Not sure why I can’t PM you though?

Afternoon, the weather here is rubbish today, wet and windy. Unfortunately, a really bad day for photo’s / videos.

That sounds like a lovely plan too, it would be good to know it was going to be enjoyed.

I’m not sure how many posts it takes before you can pm now, but just add a couple of spurious ones on this thread if you like 👍🏻

Its always good to know that your old car has gone to a good home
Yes, my Mrs is very sentimental like that. She’s keen for ‘Trixie’ (TXE!) to go to a good home, she would keep her but it’s silly when she can drive the G29 pretty much anytime she wants.

I don’t personally name any of my cars, or give them a Gender… 😅

My Mrs hated the E89 and likes the G29 even less, refuses to get in it 'stupid car' but she did christen the E89 'Snoopy' (black/white with a big nose). When I collected the G29 and it was on the drive, she walked past it without a glance or comment, its not an age thing, she's 13 years younger than me.

@fishavalanche

These are some of my previous Z4’s, just to give you an idea of my fussiness.

The Alpina’s staying though.

I’ll do my best to get you some decent photo’s ASAP. Just need a few dry hours 👍🏻
