Lost key fob

Not posted for quite a while as I sold my Z4 . I know members on here are from all over the uk.Four days ago I lost my 2nd set of Hyundai Tuscan keys ,I’m pretty sure it was at the Rugby services on the M6.I have contacted them over the last three days and they have not been handed in. The key fob is £680 to replace ouch.If anyone sees a post of keys being found ,could you please let me know.T.I.A
 
And we all thought BMW keys were expensive!

Oh the days of having a Yale type car key, when life was simple.

Always keep my fobs in a thickly padded fob case as one drop and you can kiss goodbye to a few hundred quid 😬 Its worth asking your insurer if they do a key tag so if it's lost it can be traced back to you.

2026 has started on a positive note.After our offspring had made tracks back to their dwelling down south ,I started a serch of our bungalow for the keys ,this was one of a few serches and low and behold they turned up in an unusual place😁
 
Assume you can get the lost key coded out 👍
 
Maxman I see you have the same title as I do. Could this problem possibly have been linked to memory issues? I regularly put things down and then can’t find them.
Do I come here often?😀😀😀
 
I've left my spare reading glasses somewhere and been looking all over for the past 3 weeks. I can't find them, this gives me a bit of hope. :)
 
May be time to purchase an Apple itag or similar to trace keys on your mobile if misplaced. I have just done this for house keys for swmbo after losing them for the umpeenth time!

I will check the Apple tag out,could be a problem if I lose my iPhone,😄.Thanks for the suggestion, after finding the price of the new Fob I will be taking good care of keys.
