Seat swap query

Hi there, I am looking to change my seats. I currently have non sport (2006 3.0 Si SE), but heated and elec adjust. I want to get the M sport seats, I'm not bothered about elec adjust, but do want heated.

If I can locate a pair of M sport (Black) heated, whether they are manual or elec adjust, is it an easy swap over ? Anything I need to consider ?

Plug and play if you already have electric and manual seats

Depending on the age of seats you install you may need to put a seat bypass on the passenger seat

4x16mm bolts per seat base and 1x16mm seat belt attachment. T15 Torx to undo your shoulder belt guide

Take the battery off for 10 mins before and the seat connector is a simple slide to unclip it

Did that last month with mine but swapped with Recaro Pole positions. It is fairly easy. 2 bolts in front 2 screws in the back. The seat is pretty heavy around 28kg ish per seat... so get help for lifting the old ones out and the new ones into the car. The hardest thing was to get off the electric plug imho... Overall I would say 30min per seat.

I'm not bothered about elec adjust,

It’s worth remembering that manual seats have a greater range of movement than electric ones. Despite this, the electric ones are superior in my opinion, because the manual adjustment is a little “clunky”.

I have a set of black heated msport seats. I can fit them to either manual or electric bases, they are completely interchangeable and they came out of an LCI.
I'm also happy to swap just one so you can have a comparison between the 2 bases to give you a more informed choice.
