Hello and thanks for accepting me into the forum , Picked this m40 up from my local bmw dealer nearly 5 weeks ago however been back in the garage for the last 4 . On drive the next day discovered it would not blow air to windscreen vents !! New heatbox required and a few other minor faults , Dealer replaced unit and hopefully have it back in a few days . They have given a 2 year warranty and a service package for the inconvenience and have had a 3 series to use in the interim. Kind of a poor start but hopefully all sorted soon , desperate to get back out in it , we have brilliant local roads and can’t wait to sample again . Last car was a 128ti and a cayman before that .

Welcome..our local Scottish FB pages/group are very friendly and organise various runs / breakfast meets etc..

I love that colour, but it's a shame you have been having problems. Still I suppose the dealer has been responded well by providing a courtesy car and giving you a 2 year warranty and service package. Hopefully you'll have it back soon to enjoy.
 
Chris, get yourself along the loop as I call it…. Up towards ski slopes, off at Currie towards Lang Whang, out to Carnwarth, down to Biggar and up A702 / A701 back to your neck of the woods… I’m out in West Lothian with some good roads also.

Thanks for that , funnily enough i was on most of those roads today , we are spoilt with the roads on our doorstep. That road from Carnwath to Biggar is a belter .
