Hi from Halifax

Hi, nice to meet you all, I have a z4 Roadster 2ltr 2006, I’m from Halifax, West Yorkshire
Hi and welcome to the madhouse. Already replied to your transport mode thread. Hopefully we can get that sorted for you.
It literally takes 2 minutes once the laptop is plugged in.

Hello and welcome, I’m just down the M62 from you in Wakefield, if you get chance please post a photo of your E85.

Welcome to the forum. Watch out for the photo police. Of course posting a picture of your Z4 would prevent their intervention. ;)

Hi everyone thank you all for looking Into it, any help would be really appreciated I don’t mind travelling

If you are free after Christmas and want to have a drive over to Wakefield I can try and reset it, a quick Google says,
Step-by-Step Guide:
  1. Connect & Identify: Connect your BMW E85 (Z4) to your laptop with ISTA+ and perform a full vehicle identification.
  2. Navigate to VDP: Go to the main menu and select "Vehicle Management," then "Service Functions," and find the "VDP (Vehicle Diagnostic Platform)".
  3. Find Active Tests: Scroll down within the VDP menu to locate "Active Tests".
  4. Select Reset/Delete: Choose the option to "Delete Transport Mode" or "Reset Transport Mode".
  5. Follow Prompts: Press "OK" and follow the on-screen instructions as ISTA guides you through the process.
  6. Confirm Deletion: A confirmation message will appear, stating that the transport mode has been successfully deleted.
  7. Vehicle Sleep: Turn off the ignition (remove the key) and let the car go to sleep for a few minutes to save the settings before restarting.

Important Notes:
  • Not a Code: Transport Mode isn't found by just scanning fault codes; it's a special function within the service menu.
So it should be hard to do.
