Unusual 28i ?

That's always been a cheap car second hand. 15 years ago they were around £10k. The running costs make that car worthless to people in the UK.

The bosses wife had an SL55 around 2010 and everytime it went in for a service he was getting bills for £6-8k. He was trying to give it away for £20k in 2013 before he replaced it with a 911 Turbo S.

The SL55 was quick in a straight line with the traction control on but that was about it. The 911 was faster and could handle the corners with it.

Surprisingly the SL55 still commands a £25k+ price tag. Probably worth it for that tbh.

But, to be fair, around the same time, I spent nearly a year and a half trying to virtually give my E46 M3 CSL with onky 30k miles on the clock, away for £28K….😅

I'd happily give you £28k for that if you still have it 🤣

I have a mate who uses his wife's old CLK320 cab as a 'runaround'. It's worth £5 so cheaper for them to keep and just use until it dies (which it hasn't so far after 17 years and 140k miles). It passes it's MOT every year without much expense TBH.

I have one of these. Except mine is 4 years newer, with the better later engine, has a third of the mileage...and, in UK, is worth about a third of this price! 🤣
