Welcome! I’m sure your dad won’t notice if he comes back from his jolly holibobs and the coupe has suspiciously orange indicators.
Don’t worry. Max collected a clear pair from me on his way home for Xmas.

Merry Xmas!

Little update on the Z4. DISA valve, new rubber boot, front right TPMS sensor, CDV valve and clear sidelights have been ticked off the list over the Xmas period.

The result:
Overall torque increase through the rev range
Improved throttle response
Faster/ more enjoyable shifting
Best of all no warning lights 😲😁

Many thanks to @enuff_zed for supplying the clear sidelights and giving useful info about the DISA valve!

Since ownership ive been getting the common front headlight condensation issue. I was wondering if anyone had any solutions for a fix? I have heard of replacing the outer lense cover but wasnt sure if this will actually fix my problem. Id like to upgrade the bulbs and best case get rid of the orange indicator lights too. Cheers!

Find a good pair of facelift lights if you want clear indicators.
To stop condensation you can remove the access covers from both sides and swap the seals from side to side. This ‘may’ seal them again. If not then you need to buy complete new rear covers which come with new seals.

Happy belated New Year everybody, first post is my onboard around Snetterton in my Dads racecar, only 2nd time out in the car with approximately 1 hour'ish of total running. Excited to get back in the car for the first round at Croft in the 750mc Roadsports championship which we will share the car for! Good news is that im not slow (within a second of Dad), hopefully with some more track running ill get more confidence in the car and push those braking zones a bit more.
Im sure a thread on 'Liam's Z4 C Project' will explain all the upgrades which have been done over the winter in more detail. However in brief, a redesigned splitter (which works), new short shifter and full damper service.

Preseason Testing Highlights video is the trackday highlights of my driving:)

I really enjoyed that video Max, it looked like you were having a great time.

Hopefully I'll make it one or two rounds of the championship, anyway good luck team Crilly.

First race in the 750MC – Roadsports Championship.
Honestly, it felt pretty surreal lining up alongside my partner in crime, Liam Crilly.

Qualifying threw us straight into the deep end with wet conditions, and to make things worse, I had a slow puncture (not exactly confidence-inspiring in the rain 😅).

We started P12 out of 21 in class, but the padre pushed through the field up to P3. I jumped in and was the fastest car on track, chasing down P2 until the safety car came out.

After the safety car i got passed by a Golf through the tight complex on the penultimate lap, as a result finishing P4.

Not sure there’s a bigger adrenaline rush, when the car isnt and your first race. Cars still in one peice and didnt go off so happy days! —onto Brands in a few weeks.

My POV:

I really enjoyed that video.

When you say Brands in a few weeks I'm hoping that will be 3 May on the GP circuit, which is awesome. The Indy circuit isn't much more than a glorified oval IMHO.

This weekend @Liam22 and I competed in the 750mc Roadsports event at Brands Hatch. This being my second race the thought of 20k people going to be at the circuit was definetly not what i wanted, with the feeling of if i make a slight mistake thousands of people are going to see didnt help pre quali nerves! @Liam22 put it 3rd in class B with the help of new AO52s. The race was sunny and dry with my Dad starting and with one small mistake i took over P4 in class. The video ive published is my onboard, long story short still many things to clean up but driving the car feels more natural and only 0.7s off the cars best lap with a sick valventronic motor not giving full power... P3 in class B. Happy days, now onto Silverstone on the 30th of May.
