Wheel Refurb - Colour opinions

Folks - My White E89 is currently fitted with gloss black 19" wheels - 326M, (5xTwin Spoke).
They need a refurb and Im not blown away with the black wheels on white car so I am thinking change them to the standard silver/grey or a darker gunmetal grey or even a dark bronze.
What have you got on your white car?
What colour suits the car best in your opinion?
Should I try and sell the wheels as they are and pick up a used set of 18" wheels for comfort and cheaper tyres when the time comes?
My wheels are currently wearing very good Bridgestone Potenza RE050A - 225x30x 19 Front and 255x30x19 rear
Your suggestions appreciated as always. Many Thanks

When I had my E89 I refurbed my 326m's to a dark metallic grey, after a while I thought they were too dark. I sold the car and what the new owner did really improve the look of the car, I'm sure he will be along shortly to show.E89.jpg

Those look like black.....?? I dont think black shows the wheels off - its hard to see the shape of them.

Oh to answer the OP's question, I was just going to say shadow chrome and the baron beat me to it :poke:

I'm going to get my winter set of 799M refurbed next summer, either shadow chrome or perhaps graphite

326s, especially rears, seem very prone to cracking when fitted with run-flats so I'd probably be looking to fit something else and sell them if they have never been repaired.

Shadow Chrome would look good on a white car with any wheels.

Thanks Mr Tidy. One of the wheels got cracked 10 years ago, it was an mot fail. The last owner was unaware so they didn't know if the wheel was repaired or replaced.
The tyres are in very good condition so if I sold the wheels I'd need to get new tyres to go with the smaller wheels. Could be an expensive swap.
Not sure how much I'd get for my wheels and tyres.

…it’s when they tyres fade, the black wheels really show that up looking darker. Not good.
Plus you can’t see the spokes or design well.

There are three colours that wheels should be:
Silver
Silver
Or if you want something different.....silver.

A trick that some dodgy car dealers do is to spray wheels black to hide damage.

If it was repaired 10 years ago it would have almost certainly cracked again by now.
They nearly always crack on the inside edges, so removing the wheel should tell if it has been repaired. A repair should be noticeable (so one can tell it has been repaired).

If all the trim bits are still chrome (side indicators, grill, head rest backs etc) then I'd go silver. If those bits are black then I'd go for dark silver.
