ST/KW related question

Hello, i installed the ST XA suspension with the rebound damping adjustment 16 clicks. Was wondering what is your setup. Had it for 1 month on 10 front and 9 back, felt better than stock but i had noticeable nose lifting and diving when i needed to play with the acceleration inside the turn. Decided to stiffen the front to 13 clicks and that solved the nose lifting and diving. The thing is that i believe the car got better in low and mid speed corners but when i tackle high speed turns like 90+kmh the car feels understeery. Thinking of reducing a bit to 11 or 12 click. Any recommendation? Also what settings are you running.
Thanks!

Also interested in this, I had plans to get the ST XA with my christmas bonus
to be honest the 30% sale they are having on all products kw/st are crazy! But if you want my opinion either KW or ST are the perfect pair for our cars! I would definitely recommend them.

Yeah defintily worth it. Im upgrading my front to the f30 bbk, so ill need to get a special order from them but the XA's were a sweetspot in price.

More on my opinion above.

I believe it was the Commendatore who said, ‘Ogni auto understeer e oversteer; dipende da come la si guida.’

Suspension and its setup are tricky. What works for one, may not work for another. Exhibit A: McLaren between Piastri and Norris. Exhibit B: RBR between Verstappen and anybody else. Copying one’s setup may not achieve the desired outcome.

Questions: What tyres and pressures are you running? What’s your front camber? Are you a late-braker, feather-braker, left-foot-braker?

My setup, which was done by the old indy, magically matches my driving style. I’ve no idea what he did. Just that I’ve 100% confidence. It’s a slot car.

I hope you find the setup that works for you. 👍👍

Really interesting!
i totally agree, im in the process of finding new wheels bc i have the stock 17 inch 290 style wheels-squared setup. So i bought a less expensive tyre (Pirelli Cinturato P7) until i get my new wheels and dump all the money to p zeros, as they perform very good with the cars i own. Very surprised with the performance of this comfort-sport tyre (P7) as it has lasted over a year and still going strong. Currently running 32psi font 34psi back.
Sry for the image xDIMG_0416 (1).jpeg

With the above, I’d pause suspension setup until you fit the wheels and tyres you like. What’s going to work today will likely not work tomorrow.

Say, am I reading this correctly ? The front camber is more unbalanced after alignment ? FYI, I’m running -2.5° in the front with fixed angle camber plates. Again, driving styles are massively significant in setup.

Is it already cold at your location ? Cold tarmac and tyres give less grip.

What trim is it ?

Good luck ! 💪💪

What trim you ask, HA
The most basic. 23i auto ECU and Gearbox tune and nothing extra xD. Im located in Greece and FYI we have summer tires all year here, so not cold tbh but we have humidity aka little slippery. Gonna hold this for a while bc im too deep in my budget rn. So until i find a good deal i aint gonna change the wheels. I see what you mean with the front camber, weird...
I dont have camber plates like you its a more simple suspension setup. My setup is more like KW V2. Maybe i need to try a better alignment!

Our cars have different engines. Mine is heavier. And I believe also different chassis. (@B21 knows all this wonky stuff.) Our cars will generate different mechanical grip. Which will influence tyre grip. If you’re trying to use somebody else’s setup, make sure to match trims. Or thereabouts.

Definitely you need to check what happened with fhe alignment. That’s independent of wheels and tyres. You ought to ask at the shop.

Good luck.
