Looks in great condition, love the colour and the 224m wheels look great. The interior colours with the blue was a bold choice by someone when new.

I think that must be an interior swap as it doesn’t look like any were made with the red and black New England leather, in montego.
Apart from one in Australia but that had the matching bi colour dash not Aluminium. Plus that was a roadster.

You sir are exactly right. Sometime in the vehicles past the interior was swapped from the cream colour to this colour. I understand that the red and black interior should also have red door cars.

At some point the ghastly silver trim is getting removed and sprayed gloss black.
 
Yes you should have red inserts in the door middles, but equally if it were cream or champagne you would also have those inserts.
I guess a previous owner replaced but couldn’t get the red and black so went black doors.
Looks good though, and the piano trim will improve further, unless you can find the rare leather dash too.
