There appears to be a crack in my 2.0i E85 coolant expansion tank. Does anyone know it's part number / know a reliable manufacturer for an expansion tank? I would prefer to buy OEM if possible.

Realoem.com is your friend here. Our cars are under the "Classic" catalog these days, so make sure to select your version. When you get to the parts finder, you'll find the tank part number under the "Radiator" section.

Welcome to the forum.
Please do take the time to introduce yourself and maybe post some photos of your zed.

Or did you just want us to research a part number and save you the trouble?

I may aswell...🤣

Hi all, I've only just bought my Z4 over the weekend and bought it with a cracked expansion tank... hence the question. Thanks for all of your help! So far, I just have the one picture, hopefully this'll do...

Ah that's much better. Very nice. Expansion tank is a fairly easy fix. Is it manual or automatic? If it's auto you'll need to add the oil cooler thermostat that sits in the bottom of the tank and always self-destructs when you remove the tank.

Which is exactly what happened to my 2.5i Auto in August, fixed by my trusted local workshop using parts from BMW (less expensive parts are available of course, plenty online).
