Spotted today… show us your weird, rare and gorgeous spots

If you Ignore the Mini, the photograph with the Metro could have been taken when I was a yoof. About a third of my mates had them, half had Mk I and Mk II Fiestas and the rest had Novas or Corsas.

Ooof! Mad Max’s V8 Interceptor (Ford Falcon) evocation at a car show in Cumbria last weekend. Also spotted several Zs at the show. Apparently one of the original Mad Max film cars was at the Cars of the Stars museum in Keswick but is now in the Dezer Car Museum in Miami (the Keswick museum sold its entire collection to the Dezer Museum in 2011).

Walking through Preston and spotted an Escort RS Turbo coming down the road, came back past me about 10 minutes later. Lovely to see.

It’s a shame it doesn’t have the original wheels, but it looks like it’s in very good condition. I’d forgotten that the RS Turbo had black bumper inserts instead of red.
I wonder how long he’s owned it? He is of age that he might have bought it new in 1989!

That could well be the case - it's what keeps Fast Ford prices at silly levels.

I'm just glad I had mine back in the 80s when they were just old Fords!

I saw this when I took my kids to the park this morning. It’s fits the “weird” and “rare” criteria, but most certainly not the “gorgeous”!

Spotted these in Fussen, Germany a couple of years ago. No not MR2 Ferrari replicas, but a very small quantity German production car.
Only 121 made between 1969 and 1974, based on factory supplied NSU 1200C chassis, shortened by 100mm, gull wing GRP bodywork and the NSU TT engine producing 65bhp and a supposed top speed of 180kmph/112mph

Called in at The Motorist for lunch after buying a new daily, some good car park - and gift shop - spots. Also turns out the aero club next door is where a colleague keeps his shared plane.

Never had much time for the mkII (Iv) escort turbo, as I had a 'proper', mkI (III).
The Escort Cosworth wheels do nothing for it IMO.
