The ridiculous boot situation..

Its never manually opened since ive had the car.. So i thought i'd take a look inside this morning..

The microswitch is making a contact so nothing seems wrong with the cogs and wheels etc, But what i have realised is.. When the boot is open and i pull the badge to the open posistion i can hear whirring as if its opening.. But when the boots closed it does nothing.. Anyone have any ideas please ?

Have you tried snapping the latches closed with a screwdriver and trying it again whilst it’s open?

So it doesn't pull the lid down via the motorised cams to seal against the rubber?
If so, you will get water in there...sure as God made little fishes.

Chances are it needs adjusting, as it sounds like the switch to drive the cam motor isn't making.
Seems a common issue if people have regularly slammed the boot shut.
There is a good 'how to' on the Zroadster forum somewhere...don't know about on here.

No.. all thats fine.. that final pull down to seal the boot works fine

So after a while longer checking all the connections etc and jigglng things.. i find this sheard off on the passenger side motor.. and google isnt helping me find another connector
