Ducktail spoiler on the “M”

Hey all,

I thought I’d share my M with its new ducktail spoiler ( £199 from eBay ). A really good fit straight out the box and I think it looks amazing. Huge overhang but does beautifully accentuate the lines of the car.
The car is also fresh out of its full respray in the oem black, including the spoiler. Aero side skirts fitted to again show case the z4 lines.

Love to know people’s thoughts. I’ve shared the link of the spoiler as I believe it’s a truly great product.

Rob

Mine is slightly smaller, I think (Skyer carbon)...

Slightly off topic but where did you get the car resprayed and do you mind if I ask how much it was? I'm looking to have mine done in the next year or so and looking for recommendations and cost so I can start budgeting it out! Cheers

The spoilers definitely look good on the E85, but I haven't seen one I like on an E86. Still Robert's car does look great with that shiny paint.

To each their own, but that doesn't suit the shape at all to my eye.

This is probably the best I've seen on a E86 but still look a little stuck on.

As far as I'm concerned it is the Z4 equivalent of a 'Brazilian butt lift', but if you like it that is all that matters and 'all power to your pistons!'

Mine keeps the rear more planted when I hit the bump at Schwedenkreuz at 150mph.

But the slight rake I added when I put the B16s on also helped with front-end floatiness at very high speeds.

Thanks all for your comments. I guess I knew it would be divisive but nice to hear people’s opinions ( even if wrong 😂, who’s running down curvy girls with butt lifts )
I love it, I think it follows the lines of the car particularly well and seems less stuck on than most spoilers.
As always nice to be part of the forum.

Thanks
Rob
