E85 - Diversity Antenna Location

Hi Everyone

Seems like my Diversity Antenna has given up. Both keys don't communicate with the car.

Does anyone know where it is located?

To be fair, when I was researching the various stereo radio and antenna components in my Z4M in the past I got a bit confused too because according to various places on the internet some other BMW models like the E61 have another "diversity" in the roof that does seem to have something to do with key fobs and central locking.
For example:

I find the name "diversity" confusing to begin with but to then call 2 units with different jobs the same thing, a "diversity", can be a bit confusing.

@SPARTON , As far as I understand it the Z4 and Z4M (unlike some other models) do not have this "diversity" for key fobs. The only "diversity" they have, as described by others here is a component of the stereo head unit antenna system and it lives in the boot. If you have a problem with key fobs I'm not sure this component would be the right place to start investigation.

Radio signal reception on E46 convertible, E52 Z8 and E85 Z4

The receiver is located together with the aerial in the interior rear-view mirror. Radio signals received are passed via the radio-operated central locking line to the basic module and analysed by it.

In the boot, on the left, behind the carpet. The diversity antenna is part of the HiFi system, it doesn’t have anything to do with the keys.
Incorrect. I located the Diversity Antenna, brought a new one from eBay, swapped out - and Bingo! The remote central locking is now working.

The receiver for the key FOB is inside the rear-view mirror.
Incorrect - it's the diversity antenna in the boot

I stand corrected, although I am very surprised. Nothing that I could find in NewTIS (functional descriptions, wiring diagrams) supports this.
