I should have clarified The main criteria-2.5 or the 3.0 ltr.

As my current bmw is equipped with the dreaded run flats I would prefer not have them.

Hi and welcome to the forum Rich.

The N52 engines as fitted to the 23i and 30i seem to be pretty bulletproof. I'm on my 4th now in my daily 330i that's still running great approaching 130K miles. Most people on here ditch the run-flats.

Welcome to the forum Rich, all E89’s came with run flats but as mentioned a lot of owners change to non run flats, when I bought mine used it had already been fitted with non run flats and the ride on 19” wheels is still pretty hard if you hit a pot hole, be careful when buying as most of the options were an extra charge, so it would be a good idea to have in mind a what you would like.
