Silver Vision Upgrade - pre LCI

I found some genuine BMW silver vision indicators for the E89! LCI models, this does not apply due to the face lifted headlights.

I do think it’s a great mod for older cars, cleans up the front subtly. It’s the kind of thing you only notice after owning the car for 8 years.


Original orange bulb


New silver bulb, It’s OEM and has a bmw part number.

All tested and working.

Finally a picture of the cleaned up front end.



If you do this, get some wd silicone spray and some o-ring pics, as those indicator holders will be firmly sealed in place with mud particles.

It’s been something I have wanted to do for a while. Finally got around to it!

Splendid..having said that I think you have too much time on your hands…barely noticed the bulb / the issue!

It certainly took far too much time to replace them. Questioning life choices.

I found a better pic of the bulb. It’s still orange, but looks silver, depending on the angle / distance etc.
