E85 pre-facelift headlights - 3.0 vs rest - what are the differences?

Morning all, have a pre-facelift E85 3.0 with the standard headlights with silver inlays and the standard grills with the silver spokes, but will shortly be changing my grills to the non 3.0 spec and black spokes, and thinking I might do the same with the headlights - swapping to the non 3.0 ones with black inlays.

Is there any other difference in the headlights?

Thanks in advance...

No other difference- just be sure lights are pre facelift and either xenon or halogen depending on what you need.

Thanks. Any obvious way to check if I have xenon or Halogen?
If you only have adjustment for the dash brightness on you headlight switch you have xenon’s, if you have headlight height adjustment as well then you have halogen.

my 03 with halogens do not have the double dial. I do not have the headlight levelers. I think it may have been only 03 and maybe 04 that you could have single dial halogens with out levelers.

Just turn on the lights and go see the color. Pure yellow is halogen, white (blue) is xenon. It doesn't get any simpler than this.

It’s likely that Someone has changed the bumper with one from a non Xenon car.
Not necessarily. My '05 has Xenons, no washers, 20K miles on the odo, and is wearing its original bumper. And headlight washers are not listed on my original window sticker and build sheet.

As x-driver says, they couldn't sell a new car with Xenons here if it didn't have headlight washers. Also we don't have window stickers, so guess Tncdrew you're from the US?

Yes, US here.
I just looked up "Monroney Sticker", the informational sticker that comes with all (apparently just US) cars... I didn't know that was a US only thing. Hmmmm.
The original purchaser of my car had folded it up, and put it into the BMW documents "pouch" that's still with the car.
