Rattle coming from this anonymous rubber item which appears to be worn out loose and rattles around on both sides forward of the rear wheels.
Can anyone identify these.

Ironically looks like a noise damper, basically a weight to obsorb certain frequencies. What is it bolted too?

You may have a point, although I've just removed them, they are heavy weights but the drive has improved dramatically, sound - wise!

Still not sure thanks, they are made of iron with a rubber sleeve over an aluminium spigot. The rubber seems to have softened causing the weight to rattle on uneven roads.
I have left the spigot bolted to the chassis, here is a pic of the removed iron which at first glance I thought was rubber.
Not sure about sound damper as its definitely quieter now removed.

Looks like the trailing Arm Insulator (not bushing). Interesting thing is that in your picture it looks like a metal casting, but it's a soft rubber (Yours is obviously covered in road debris).

My error, yes they are steel casings. Both sides rattled around. I took them off, the rubber insert had separated from its aluminium spigot.
I pressed the 22mm diameter spigot into a length of stainless tube and inserted back into the rubber, hopefully allowing the thing to do its vibration damping. No more rattling.😁😉
