Piston heads auction 3.0si

Manual 3.0Si Roadsters are quite rare. It looks like only 695 came to the UK, and only 10 were Monaco Blue with Caramel leather, plus it's a low miler!
 
It mentions a full respray in the description which is good to see considering these are getting on.
But.
Some serious orange peel on the hood and front bumper 😫
And if you look at the reflections on the doors and wings, similar. What a shame. ☹️
 
I do like the interior leather colour but the door card tops look to be the plastic finish so no extended leather option on this one? Will be interesting to see what it sells for though considering market is on the slow side. Will the OP be keeping an eye on it for us and let us know?

I see the photos from earlier are now all gone, replaced with worse photos with poor lighting (and some in the rain) that appear to not show the same areas the first ones did. 🤷‍♂️
 
Just read the writeup and noticed that all 4 wings have been replaced because of bubbling paintwork. Not expect that from a garaged car?
Wonder if the roof motor is still in it's usual place? I for one hope it goes for good money.
 
Yeah still running until tonight but reserve has been lowered.
 
This was an old forum members car think it was possibly this. Pics from about 10 years ago, If not same car, same spec and gorgeous in person. One of my favourites over the years. Got so many pics of it!

It has the same non OE mats so assume its this one.

No sat nav or M bumper on the auction one. Auction one isn't sitting as low, either.
 
tom, Is that one definitely Monaco blue? Looks close to carbon schartz. Really amazing with the CSLs and M bumper though.
Just thinking how similar or at least close the darker colour options were, blue to black, midnight, Monaco and then carbon black, then of course ruby and sapphire.
Back on topic still at £7350 with 45 mins to go. I bet he’s trying to sell at a profit over what he paid £9110, £9766 with fees.
 
Hmm £7650 plus fees, I thought it might go a little higher than that.
 
Well once you add on the buyer's fee of £834 (£695 + VAT) it's virtually £8,500 so it wasn't exactly a bargain. TBF I thought it might go for less!

It's not quite a deal, though, because after adding that £834 buyer's charge (£695 plus VAT), you're essentially at £8,500. Sincerely, I had hoped it would sell for a little less as well, but those additional costs always cause the ultimate cost to exceed your expectations.
