If you have any problems with the new forum, or questions about it, please post them here. I can’t promise to be able to fix everything but I’ll do my best.

Is it possible to set it up as a subforum? Makes it much easier to track and update different topics.

Linked photos from original photo attachments in other threads does not work. For example, the ”Photo Competition Winners Showcase” thread have all broken photo links.

Maybe the same here in my Bavarian tour post. None of the integrated links is working anymore.

Update:
Seems to be fine right now! Thanks.

Yeah, I think there will unfortunately be some bbcode things that will need to be tidied up manually, either by the post owner or a mod/admin

I can’t figure out how to navigate to a list all the various forum categories?

Edit- on chrome for Apple mobile.

Well,
In general there seems to be an issue with external links:

If I edit my former post and save it without any change, it get's updated to a correct view.

But, how to get this checked&done on all of my 1.500 posts individually?

It's currently not possible, as I only get access to the last 8 pages of my posts, that is about 160 posts. Former/elder ones cant't be updated manually by myself.

The button on the right ("View older results") doesn't provide anything.

PM's no longer show as a string of replies, only as individual messages, very annoying if you're trying to follow along a conversation over a number of days (especially if you talk to a number of people on similar subjects).

Or am I missing something?

I think that is an issue with the migration. Should be ok going forward

Already documented:

I've found a possible migration issue on my "Direct messages" aka "conversations":

Each post in a former conversation got splitted up into a separated message.

Above you can see an old conversation with the same person. After the current migration it's not a thread anymore, but each reply (listed as "0 replies") got a new message. The same happened to current "Direct messages" / conversations.

In addition, the conversation history seems to be restricted to only 8 pages.

Would be nice, if former conversations could be restored to their initial structure.

Love the forum, may I respectfully ask the reason for change please?

Not against or upset by it, just interested why?

Thanks for all your hard work.
Good question.... several reasons to be honest...

The old software has become stagnant. We implemented it back in 2007 and apart from a small period of time where we jumped to another software solution we have stayed on phpbb. The thing is nothing has moved on on that platform on over a decade. It is open source, which is good in a way, but it is being maintained by people in their spare time, so there are no improvements, no new featues etc.

In adittion, I aded a load of features (polls, for sale tags etc) using mods or addons. This mant that every time I did an upgrade things were breaking and had to be fixed. It became a bit of a nightmare. This forum platform does 99% of what we need without modifications.

This platform also allows much more customisation and control, so hopefully we can make it even better over time.

I am definitely not one for change for change sake... quite the opposite, and this forum software is not free either, so it's actually cost me to make the change, but I just felt like the old software was going nowhere and we'd probably be forced to move eventually anyway.

Is there a way of seeing what threads you have posted on have been updated?

One thing I liked about the forum was how you could quickly look and see which of your favourite threads (ones you have posted on) had received new posts and quickly look at those.

It sounds like you have done the right thing updating the forum, but I have to say that for me is it worse because I am not used to it and I can't see my followed topics quickly
